Basic Poker Terms: Tilt

Tilt is a poker term that refers to wild or reckless play.  Many overconfident players as well as many beginners play “full tilt” – they may get lucky on a few hands, and then assume that recklessly agressive play will always be to their advantange.

Poker players are who are playing “on tilt” typically don’t use enough discretion when deciding to play a hand, when to bluff, when to raise.   After a few hands, players who are going full tilt are easy to beat.
